Record No 045C Plough Plane
The 045C Plough Plane is supplied with just one 4mm cutter, leaving the user free to select what they needed from a range of cutter sets, individual cutters and a conversion kit.
Set CS 045A contains 9 cutters for rebates, grooves, fillisters and tongues. In addition the user could choose from 12 individual cutters for fluting, reeding and sash moulding. The conversion kit (K050C) is used for cross grain grooving, beading, sash moulding, housing, reeding and rebates over 7/8″ (22.2mm) wide, but for grooving, tonguing, fluting and rebates less than 7/8″ all you need are the cutters.
With all options the user would end up with a versatile 31 piece combination plane.
NOTE: This plane followed the same sleek design as the 044C and 050C (both introduced in 1970)
First introduced in a Catalogue in October 1982.
