Record No. 05½C Jack Plane

Record No 05 1/2C Jack Plane
Record No. 05½C Jack Plane
as illustrated in Catalogue No. 15, February 1938

NOTE: The 05½C Jack Plane was exactly the same as the 05½ except that the sole was corrugated. The box label also had “C” after the model number. Because of the work needed to produce the corrugated base, the plane was sold at a higher price than the 05½.

This plane features end and side adjustment of the cutter. Handles and knobs are of selected rosewood (post-war models are made of beech.)

Lever caps and small screws were nickel plated on early models. The Record No. 05½C Smooth Plane had stopped being offered in catalogues by 1971. All other corrugated models were discontinued by 1993.

First introduced in Catalogue No. 10, published in January 1931.
