
Record No. 730 Softboard Plane

This plane is used for slitting and bevelling of soft insulating board. It uses a razor blade type cutter which was provided in cartons of 6.
Two positions for the cutter were available – a vertical position for slitting and cutting up to 1/2 inch in thickness, and a 45 degree angled position for bevelling up to a 3/8 inch depth. An attachable fence was provided for the bevelling work.
First introduced in Pocket Catalogue No. 16 in 1955.
