This plane is used for coarse work such as “hogging” down timber to rough dimensions.
The cutter is of extra thickness and the cutting edge is rounded for heavy work. There is no adjustment for depth of cut or sideways movement.
Handle and knob are of beechwood.
First introduced in Catalogue No. 14, published in November 1935.
