Record No. 043 Plough Plane
as illustrated in Catalogue No. 15, February 1938
This plane is suitable for grooving for plywood panels etc. It is fitted with adjustable depth gauge and double arm bridged fence, and will cut grooves 1/2″ deep up to 4″ from the edge of a board.
Three plough cutters are supplied with each plane – 1/8″, 3/16″ and 1/4″.
Additional cutters are available for grooving plywood panels, etc. Cutters of millimetre width were also available in 4mm, 6mm, 9mm & 12mm.
First introduced in a small publicity catalogue issued between the January 1934 Price List and Catalogue No. 14 of November 1935. The first version came with a single-arm for the fence (SEE BELOW).
