Record No. 2506S Side Rabbet Plane
as illustrated in Catalogue No. 15, February 1938
Same as the No. 2506, but with an adjustable and reversible depth stop fitted to the base. This plane was used for side rabbeting and cleaning grooves in mouldings etc. and the nose can be removed for working close up into corners. The No. 2506S was based on an Edward Preston plane of the same product number when Record acquired the manufacturing rights from John Rabone & Sons.
